Stable for 8 hours at room temperature or refrigerated temperature if submitted in Influenza Transport Swab. Specimen can also be submitted in 1.0ml or less of BD Universal Transport Media, Bartels Flextrans Media, Copan Universal Transport Media, Hank's Balanced Salt Solution, M5 Media or saline.

Clinical Utility
The QuickVue Influenza A and B test allows for the rapid, qualitative detection of influenza type A and type B antigens directly from nasal swab. The test is intended for use as an aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of acute influenza type A and type B viral infections. The test is not intended to detect influenza C antigens.
